Poem: The Pantheress
Bismillah....
Have you read both of these stories?
The pantheress: https://explolersidra.blogspot.com/2023/08/the-pantheress-lost-and-all-alone-in.html
If you haven't, then I recommend you to go and read it first before reading the poem because this poem is strongly linked to the story, if you don't read it, then you'll not understand the poem.
Poem:
From the camping trip got lost did I,
With Yara and Mimi, got lost three of us,
So scared we were,
For the Amazonia is dangerous.
But we had things for one-night survival,
We lit a fire all scared and dreary,
And in the morning as we resumed,
What we saw was terrible.
It was a big big leopard,
Ready to attack us,
But Yara was gonna run away,
So I stopped her.
And as the leopard was gonna attack,
Something black attacked him first.
Yara and I were so scared,
But didn't run for we had no choice.
So, the black thing fought with the leopard,
Until it ran away,
So that's when I got to know,
That black thing was no other than a pantheress!
The pantheress and Mimi played,
And I stroked the friendly animal,
Even though I was so scared,
The pantheress licked my hand!
The panther gave us a gesture,
For us to follow her,
And as we did,
She took us to her territory.
And inside was a deer she hunted,
And she went to eat it, so did Mimi,
The panther gave us a chunk of meat.
So we lit a fire, so we could eat.
And the taste was horrible,
But it didn't matter,
For I was hungered.
Now I'm full.
It went like that for two days,
Until I missed home,
And decided I would go to the campsite,
With some help from the panther.
So I went to her and said to her,
Thanks, I need to go,
So the panther made us follow her,
Until......
We met a leopard,
The one who had attacked us previously,
So the big cats fought,
And we ran away.
Away as fast as we could,
And found a tree that looked like a den,
And went inside without a thought!
My heart beating triple fast.
Until I heard some footsteps,
And it was the Pantheress!
Mimi played with her,
And I stroked her, until......
It was time for us to go,
So I told her again,
The pantheress made a gesture,
For us to follow her. So we did.
When we reached the campsite,
We four stayed in the cover of the forest,
And I hugged her,
Thinking I'd miss her.
So I said to her,
We'll repay your favour,
And she said thank you in her own way,
I never got to know why she did that.
Ok now friends, thanks a lot for ur time, I'm working on the next part of the poem, it'll be here soon.
